Education

Music education with room to perform.

We support the musical education and development of Nanaimo students through free clinics, live performance opportunities, scholarships, and bursaries.

Free student clinics

Learn directly from professional musicians.

Professional musicians lead free clinics with Nanaimo students and perform for the community. Guest artists have joined us from New York, Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Vancouver Island, and beyond.

Student opportunities

From the clinic to the concert stage.

Students learn in the room, then put that learning into practice in front of a live audience.

Every concert

Local students open for the featured act.

Student groups perform at every society concert. They take a real place in the program and gain experience playing for a live audience.

Some concerts

Featured artists invite students to play with them.

At some concerts, professional musicians invite students to join them on stage. Students listen, respond, and make music together in front of the audience.
