Music education funding
Applications are currently closed.
We expect to share the 2027 program in spring 2027. The information below is based on the 2026 process and does not confirm next year’s rules.
What the funding is for
The program helps eligible young musicians pursue jazz camps, festivals, clinics, workshops, and similar music-instruction opportunities.
What to expect in 2027
Based on the 2026 process, the society expects the program to be open to students and recent graduates of Nanaimo-Ladysmith Public Schools. The committee will confirm the exact meaning of “recent graduate,” eligible programs, funding limits, and deadline before applications open.
Likely application topics
- The program you plan to attend and why.
- Program costs and any other financial or in-kind support.
- How the opportunity connects with your musical training and education plans.
- Your school or graduation background and music teacher.
- How your extracurricular music activities contribute to the Nanaimo community.
Prior-year funding rules
These 2026 rules are shared only as a planning guide and remain subject to 2027 confirmation:
- Funding applied to approved program fees only.
- Accommodation was not eligible.
- Successful applicants supplied proof of registration and receipts before funds were released.
