Jazz Affair 2026 marked 20 years of supporting jazz music education in Nanaimo. Juno Award-winning sisters Christine Jensen on alto saxophone and Ingrid Jensen on trumpet, both raised in Nanaimo, headlined with special guest Phil Dwyer on piano. Nanaimo’s own John Lee on drums and Ben Dwyer on bass rounded out the quintet.
The award-winning youth musicians of the Wellington Jazz Academy opened the concert. The fundraiser also included a silent auction, prize raffle, and draws, with light buffet refreshments included for ticket holders.
