Drummer, composer, and bandleader Kelby MacNayr brought his quintet to The Queen’s, with Phil Dwyer on tenor saxophone, Nick Peck on piano, Steve Wallace on bass, and Miguelito Valdés on trumpet.
Wellington Jazz Academy combos played the pre-show set. Like every society show, the evening supported jazz music education in Nanaimo. Thank you to The Queen’s for hosting, and to the City of Nanaimo for its continuing support.
